Paddy Pallin

Where do I even start? My mum and I went in looking for gear for a long trek, completely unsure of what we'd need and basing all our decisions on research. Cameron greeted us at the door and immediately jumped in to help us find everything we needed. We were there for a long time ime and he never failed to check in and ensure we had everything we needed. On top of that, he helped us adjust the fit of our bags, he provided advice and reassurance on fit and design of shoes, and was just generally knowledgeable and incredibly friendly and helpful. It was so wonderful to receive that level of service and help, and we found it very reassuring to have our research reinforced and expanded upon. I believe it was Nessie who processed our purchases at the till and, again, she was friendly and knowledgeable and made sure to explain all the returns policies for if we have any issues. All the staff were wonderful and eager to lend a hand if we couldn't find a size or were unsure about anything. The customer service at Paddy Pallin absolutely made my day!

This morning I caught the 8am train from Armadale to Perth. My SOLE reason was to purchase items from the Paddy Palin store. I was at their front door at 8:57. The shop opened at 9:03. I was the only person through the door. I got a polite “hello” from staff as I made my way to the rear of the store, where I stood for 10 full minutes waiting for assistance. It didn’t come, the staff were mostly at the counter chatting, laughing and generally enjoying each others company. I wanted to purchase 4 x pair of Merino wool socks, 6 x ladies uv rated shirts and a GPS. The first offer I got of assistance was as I walked out of the shop letting them know how poor their service standards are. I had $1500:00 CASH to spend. Clearly I wasn’t worthy of their time and attention. I am disgusted that a retail store with Paddy Pallins reputation is so very dismissive of senior citizens who have money to spend. They might have the best stock, but try getting anyone to serve you. Horrible, humiliating experience today

The team at Paddy Pallin were so helpful, I wanted to send flowers to say thankyou. I was some chasing some spare parts of a running vest. I'd tried dedicated running shops previously that couldn't help, but the team at Paddy Pallin managed to. They even contacted the manufacturer directly to chase down parts to match my no-longer-manufactured vest. Amazing service.

If you’re looking for great quality brands and outdoor gear accompanied with excellent, friendly service and advice you can’t go wrong with Paddy Pallin.
